By listening to our bodies, charting our cycles and having a basic sense of our hormonal systems we can know on any given day if we are fertile or infertile. We can watch our cyclical wave of fertility and learn to trust in it and enjoy it.
The Fertility Awareness Method has evolved out of past methods of Natural Family Planning (NFP) and is highly effective in preventing pregnancy as well as for conception purposes. It involves an initial commitment of learning and then entails only a few moments a day as an on-going practice.
The FAM is based on the recognition of 3 main signs of fertility; cervical fluid changes, cervical position changes and basal body temperature.

Prenatal Yoga
Mother and baby reveal themselves to each other through subtle awareness of movement. Rhythm of movement is guided by breath and circulation of blood. The subtleties of posture and strength are fine tuned, and mothers to be are introduced to their bodies in a whole new light. As her body grows and softens, she is challenged to find her steadiness, to access her core. The stretching and opening remain grounded in a constant stability, supporting loose ligaments and wavering emotions.
Women are encouraged to tune in with their babies and prepare for birth through visualization. They use the power of sound to connect with breath and primal energy. The gathering of pregnant women contains an incredible underlying excitement and an obvious joy, expressed through the movements of their beautiful blossoming bodies.
Baby Yoga
Beginning at six weeks old, babies and their mamas are invited to come and experience the playful side of yoga. This class involves rhythmic movements based on yoga poses. Babies are held in various positions, while mamas get familiar with how their babies like to move. Mamas are encouraged to listen to their babies, modifying the movement or posture or stopping to nurse or rest when asked.
